What exactly is the job of a personal attendant for a wedding??
My best friend is getting married and asked me this question the other day. Is this job supposed to be assigned to someone close....i.e. family member/friend?? And what is their duty? She is running out of people to ask to be in her wedding and was wondering if this job HAD to be filled. Also, from all the dress shopping and fittings, we have become pretty familar with the lady at the dress shop. Someone suggested she ask her to be an attendant and possibly could pay her....what do you think??

- I've never heard of such a thing. If she's having bridesmaids then usually they and the brides mother "attend" to the bride.
- Wedding attendant is like a planner but only their the day of the wedding. No you dont need one most ppl dont get one. They are just their to make sure every thing gose off without a hitch from flowers to dresses to caters. If you just want someone to check stuff for her why dotn you have the maid of honor or mother? But it really isnt nesscary if you trust the ppl in the wedding party & your vendors.
- I think it's a little unnecessary. Unless I'm the bride, MOH or one of few BM's, my favorite role in a wedding is Guest! I would much rather enjoy myself & not have to mind scheduling or tag along behind someone. If your friend needs extra help, I think hiring the bridal shop employee is a possibility, but she will need to be very specific about what she expects her to do. Another option is to hire a Day Of Wedding Coordinator. They are much more experienced in this task.
