Am I allowed to use a malls layout from their website for my informational website?

I'm starting an informational website and would like to use Shopping Mall Layouts on my website, and the end result is I plan on making money off advertising from the content on my website. Wanting to know if this is illegal to do, or must I have permission to do so. Thanks

1. It depends on whether the layout is a copyrighted image or not. If it is a copyrighted image, don't even think about using it without permission from the copyright holder. If it is not a copyrighted image, you may or may not be able to use the layouts (it depends on what state you are in)
2. Get the mall's permission first. If you work with them, they will keep you informed about tenants moving in and out; notify you of changes in the layout as they happen and inform you of upcoming events. In exchange for a little free advertising, you could have the most up-to-date info which could make your site really stand out. Believe it or not, malls do renovate spaces from time to time. Or they might lease some of the parking lot to a restaurant.
